Hi! I’m Jay owner of Santa Barbara Deck & Fence. This is a picture of my wife, my 3 boys, and myself. Here at Santa Barbara Deck & Fence family is first! Aside of my 3 handsome boys and my beautiful wife. I am responsible for 17 other children and 6 families to feed and support. In all reality they support and feed my family and I would not be where I am today with out my co workers.

It all started when…

When a former employer of mine (whom will remain anonymous) paycheck would not cash and I was forced into a corner. So instead of backing down I rose to the occasion and I started Santa Barbara Deck & Fence. I have been a landscape and general contractor now for over 13 years, and I have built some of the most elegant and beautiful out door living spaces and landscapes you will ever see. I have been featured on TV (netfilx Stay Here) in magazines and publications numerous times. Between my upper management and staff we have over 45 years experience in deck, fence, pergola, arbor, and trellis building here on the central coast. Santa Barbara, Hope Ranch, Isla Vista, Goleta, Montecito, Carpinteria, Summerland, La Conchita, Santa Maria, Buellton, Santa Ynez, Solvang, and Lompoc.

At Santa Barbara Deck & Fence quality and craftsmanship are in no shortage. We go the extra mile in every aspect from raised concrete footings to stand off zinc coated brackets so water will not sit around the wood. Speaking of wood you will notice we use all brown treated wood for our sub framing. We apply and practice all practical construction methods to ensure your deck is a superior product for years to come. We use the same laser levels that Caltrans uses for roads to make sure your deck is level. We have a saying at Santa Barbara Deck & Fence. “Is Perfect Okay?”

This is great honor of mine having achieved the title of a Trex Platinum Pro Installer. What does this mean? Well you have to be in the Top 1% percentile of installers to achieve this title. It means I am one bad mofo when it comes to installing decks.
